I spend the day discovering the surroundings of Turpan(Turufan). Hired a driver and first went to Aydingköl and then visited Jiaohe Ancient Uighur City.

PS: used the chance to also go the railway station (about 20km out of town) and get tickets for next day’s overnight trip to Kashgar/Kashi - the gate to the silkroad.
