After 28 days on the road I arrived in China. In German there is a saying: “Wenn einer eine Reise tut, dann hat er was zu erzählen” - “One who travels has stories to tell” .. and: oh boy ..

In short: I had a ticket for the 8:30am Bus to Yiling/Ili/Инин in China, but the bus was “no show” (at least I will get my money back - if I claim it - not at the bus station though) .. luckily there was another bus going to the Chinesen boarder at 9:00am.

The bus driver would have taken me for free (as I had a ticket to a cancelled bus), but the controller at the station insisted I buy a new ticket - which I did.

The driver organized for me to be picked up by another Bus on the Chinese side of the border (gave me its number plate so I could find it). That Bus drove to Yiling/Ili/Инин.

The rest of the day was quite uneventful in comparison..
